Hillcrest Furniture is relocating from Prattville after 15 successful years of business. Hill Crest Furniture will offer extensive lines of home furnishings and is set to open Summer 2010. A home furnishings store with "Retro" appeal is coming to Downtown Homewood - 02/24/10 Watts Realty Co., Inc. has successfully executed a 5 year lease for 1784 sq. ft. of retail space located at 2805 18th Street South. SoHo Retro is a home furnishings store that will offer antique, vintage, and contemporary furnishings and accessories, with an emphasis on mid-twentieth century designs. Shoppers will find style and quality at prices in keeping with today's interest in economically sound spending. SoHo Retro is scheduled to open April 2010.
A new restaurant is set for Historic Downtown Homewood - 02/03/10 Watts Realty Co., Inc. has successfully leased the 2,055 square foot space at the vital intersection of 18th Street South & 29th Avenue South. The new restaurant, Urban Cookhouse, is a farm-to-table restaurant and part of a movement to eat local taking advantage of seasonally available fruits and vegetables with meals consisting of progressive, modern foods with a distinct urban, yet Southern touch via unique and sophisticated fresh ingredients, use of local suppliers, and an emphasis on quick service.
